Ag Incentive Grant

​The Agricultural Career Technical Education Incentive Grant provides local educational agencies (LEAs) with funds to improve the quality of their agricultural career technical education programs. The goal is to maintain a high-quality, comprehensive agricultural career technical program in California's public school system to ensure a constant source of employable, trained, and skilled individuals.

AIG Application (due July 15th)

How to access AET AIG Application 


  1. Log in to www.theaet.com 
  2. Go to Reports
  3. Click on Degrees/Applications
  4. Click on CTE AIG Application 
  5. On the left hand side, you will see all of the areas of that application and the data that has been pulled. 
    1. DATA- students and teachers have until June 30th to input data into AET. After June 30th, you will no longer be able to add data for the 25-26 school year and the application will not update with new information.
  6. Click on Save a New Version #. Click Complete / Save your App. 
  7. Click on "Get PDF" 
  8. You will need to attach this PDF file to your actual AIG Application.
  9. I would also place a copy of the PDF into your Supporting Document Folder.

How to fill out the AIG Application

  1. Download the AIG Application that is on the CDE website (click on link)
  2. Using the AET AIG application data, fill out the application
  3. Get the application board approved before the deadline of July 15, 2026
    1. NOTE: Applications can be board-approved AFTER the deadline if your district does not hold summer board meetings. If that is the case, still submit your AIG application, but let me know that it is pending board approval. Once your application has been approved, please send me the updated and signed AIG application. 
  4. Upload the complete AIG Application to your AIG Supporting Documents Folder.
  5. Mail a copy for your AIG Application. Applications need to have a postmark of July 15th or earlier. It is ok if you put the application in the mail on July 15th - do not waste money on rush delivery/ over-night delivery.

Submitting Supporting Documents

  1. Click on the link below: AIG Supporting Documents Shared Folder
  2. Find your program
  3. Add your Supporting Documents to each of the file folders. Please use PDFs
    1. NOTE: There are some folders that do not need updating (Teacher Credentials, Courses / Pathways, Constitution). Only update these folders if there has been a change within the past year/ last time you applied for the grant.
    2. ADD FOLDER: Please make sure to ADD a folder labeled "Graduation Exit Survey." 
  4. Add your AET AIG Application to this folder with the data
  5. Add your AIG Application to this folder once you have completed it & have signatures.
